Tyrex Solutions is an Australian-owned company built on purpose, innovation, and community impact. Since 1990, we’ve been manufacturing sustainable products using 100% Australian recycled rubber, helping to improve accessibility, safety, and environmental outcomes across the country.
What began with a broad product range has evolved into a national leader in threshold ramps, anti-fatigue matting, and custom rubber solutions for domestic, commercial, and industrial applications.
Our Founders & Our Vision
Tyrex was founded by Peter Cross and Peter Wilson, two friends who shared a simple but powerful vision: to create practical, high-quality products that improve people’s lives — without costing the Earth.
From the beginning, innovation and sustainability were at the heart of our operations. What was cutting-edge at the time has now become industry standard. Over the years, threshold ramps emerged as our flagship product, with demand growing Australia-wide.
30+ Years of Progress
Our journey reflects steady growth and impact. From our beginnings in 1990, manufacturing sustainable rubber products, we’ve expanded our capabilities, invested in technology, and streamlined operations to better serve our customers. Milestones like the launch of our accessibility ramp range, a major facility upgrade, and national recognition as a Certified Circular Economy Collaborator mark our ongoing commitment to quality, sustainability, and progress.
Australian Made, Environmentally Focused
We’re proud to be 100% Australian-owned and operated, with all products manufactured locally from recycled Australian tyre rubber. Every year, we divert between 300 and 400 tonnes of tyre waste from landfill and give it a second life in high-performance, long-lasting products.
Tyrex operates out of a solar-powered, carbon-neutral facility and runs a closed-loop waste rubber recycling program in collaboration with our suppliers. Our commitment to sustainability has earned recognition from the Tyre Stewardship of Australia (TSA) as a leader in circular economy practices.

Our Charity Partnership
We believe in giving back. That’s why $2 from every custom ramp sold goes directly to our charity partner, Survivor’s R Us — a Newcastle-based not-for-profit supporting people affected by domestic violence, homelessness, and unemployment.
The partnership goes beyond donations. Each month, the Survivor’s R Us team hosts a BBQ breakfast at our facility, bringing staff and community together to raise funds and awareness for a cause we believe in.
