Late last year, Acorn Stairlifts reached out about a small but significant trip hazard at the front entrance of their store — a raised door lip that made access difficult for visitors. It may sound simple, but the issue had a unique complication: the lip was uneven in height across the entryway. That ruled out a standard ramp.
What they needed was a custom-designed solution — lightweight, durable, and precisely fitted. That’s where our team came in.

Working closely with the store manager, we gathered detailed measurements and photos of the site. These were passed on to our in-house design team, who used CAD technology to craft a custom ramp tailored to the millimetre.
The result? A perfectly flush, easy-to-handle custom threshold ramp that the Acorn team can place each morning and store away in the evening. A seamless solution for a potentially hazardous problem.
